Farming and ranching are never easy, but 2020 has been unlike any year before it, presenting significant and unfamiliar challenges for farmers, ranchers and agriculture professionals. A global pandemic, drought, trade wars, political instability, social unrest and general uncertainty have left many in our industry searching for new, long-term strategies that will build resilience in their operations.

This December 1-4, the 2020 Eco-Ag Conference & Trade Show will gather virtually to bring an audience practical, actionable solutions. Farmers, growers, ranchers and agriculture professionals are invited to attend to learn real soil management techniques and build resilience across the agriculture industry.

Topics will include:

  • Cover cropping
  • Soil and global security issues
  • Pasture-based livestock
  • Weed prevention and management
  • New farm business models
  • Biological & regenerative farming
  • Profitable carbon farming
  • Soil health and human health linkages
  • Strategies for commodity crops, permanent crops, hemp & more!

Why is this event so unique? Now in our 45th year (but first virtually), the Eco-Ag Conference features ten learning sessions and two keynotes covering topics such as soil health, animal agriculture, human health, plant nutrition and more. The conference will also include Small Group Networking, Regional Networking Sessions, virtual Field Tours, and engaging Eco-Ag Innovation Hours dedicated to sharing more industry expertise.

Our Speakers

Gabe Brown is a regenerative farmer and rancher in North Dakota, who applies the practices of holistic management and no-till cropping to his 5,000-acre operation. He is the author of the book Dirt to Soil, about his experiences transitioning his family’s conventional land to a regenerative system fostering soil health.

Nicole Masters is an independent agroecologist, systems thinker, author and educator. She has a formal background in ecology, soil science and organizational learning, and is the author of the book For the Love of Soil. Her cutting-edge work explores the integration of microbiology into the farming system and the signals – from plants to microbes back to plants again, plants to weeds, insects to plants – and how chemicals can disrupt this critical communication.
