To say 2020 has been a difficult year would be an understatement. Yet, after all this, we find ourselves feeling grateful to be finding new ways to work with farmers, to be discovering a growing and diverse community interested in healthy food, and to be connecting with a global citizenship concerned about soil health. This Small Business Saturday, if you find yourself in a position to do so, helping a small business in eco-agriculture will be incredibly meaningful.

Here’s what your support means to us. When you buy a book from the Acres U.S.A. bookstore, you are supporting a community of eco-farmers who are also authors, event speakers, online course instructors and magazine writers, and who are also advocates, scientists, entrepreneurs, poets and inventors … and even one guy we call “The Regenerative Yoda.” Every purchase you make is handled by Barbara, Hannah and Chad, a customer service team who works locally in our office in Greeley, Colorado, and is committed to making sure the book gets to you on time, every time. From the first day we started in 1971, helping family farmers — large-scale or lean — has been our mission, and always will be.

Thank you. We appreciate your support, whether it began today or it started 50 years ago. As we enter a new era of agriculture, we remain committed to regenerating our soil, our planet and our communities, one book, one event, one magazine article … and one act of kindness at a time. Whether you support us, or many of the other wonderful businesses serving the eco-ag community, we just want you to know we appreciate it, and it matters.
