The future of our food system determines the future of mankind.
A vital investigation of the economic and environmental instability of America's food system, from the agricultural issues we face – soil loss, water depletion, climate change, pesticide use – to the community of leaders who are determined to fix it. Sustainable is a film about the land, the people who work it and what must be done to sustain it for future generations.
Includes 92-minute feature and 52-minute version. This film is not rated.

I had streamed this one previously, but only saw the shorter version. I'm really glad I ordered the full documentary! The interview with Michael Pollan sold it for me, but I really liked seeing Nicolette Hahn Niman's (In Defense of Beef) visual explanation of her beginnings. The cover is a representation of the harsh future we could have, but the narrative is utterly heart-warming and hopeful.
Watched several times and learn something new each time. I so appreciate the solutions that are offered instead of just focusing on the problems. Bravo!
A genuine paradigm shift !
