Beginning in 1938 and continuing through the 1950s, Dr. Murray used sea solids — mineral salts remaining after water is evaporated from ocean water — as fertilizer on a variety of vegetables, fruits and grains. His extensive experiments demonstrated repeatedly and conclusively that plants fertilized with sea solids and animals fed sea-solid-fertilized feeds grow stronger and more resistant to disease.

The work of this eco-ag pioneer was largely ignored during his lifetime, and his book became a lost classic — out of print for over 25 years. A friend of mine did the Dr, Murray style experiment growing two tomato plants side but side. One was fertilized normally (NPK), the other with diluted sea water (from NJ, ewe!). The NPK plant developed leaf curl and other “stuff.” The sea water plant was healthy and happy with good tasting tomatoes! She then started sea watering the NPK plant and while it did not cure the damage , the remainder of the growth became healthy and productive!. Hurray for Dr. Murray!

I highly recommend this book to everyone that grows something for eats something. Sea Energy Agriculture is the book that brought me to my senses to switch from conventional to regenerative ag. I could not understand how 50 pounds of sea mineral could influence 2,000,000 pounds of soil per acre. Now I see that everything is made to work together and that small details can make big improvements. The book is short, yet easy to read and understand, and will show you how to greatly improve the quality of your crops and livestock. The book also promises of greatly improved health of humans, animals, and crops. In my experience, these promises deliver with authority and only get better year over year.
