Sulfur is often considered a minor nutrient, however it is a vital nutrient for plants and animals. It is also unique among nutrients for additional reasons. The acidification of soil by sulfur application also affects soil structure and permeability. Sulfur sources, methods of application, and best management practices for optimum uptake into crops will be presented.
