Phone Orders

Call 970-392-4490. We answer the phone from Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. through 3 p.m. (central time). During these hours we’ll be able to advise you on book selection, availability, and answer any questions you might have. After hours, you can leave a message and we will return your call first thing the next weekday morning.

Online Orders

This website has a secure server, security certificates, secure order payments through shopify (with no credit cards stored in this store). Ordering anything from this catalog is quick and easy when done online with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or JCB credit card. Our online store carries the most up-to-date listings of our offerings.

Mail Orders

We accept orders via U.S. mail. An order form can be found in our print catalog. Complete the order form and mail with your check, money order, or credit card information. Please include a phone number or email address so we can contact you if we have any follow-up questions.


All of our prices are listed in U.S. dollars, and we only accept payment in this currency. For U.S. orders, we accept US cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB credit cards. For Canadian orders, we accept credit cards and checks drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. dollars. For countries outside of North America, we accept credit cards and bank drafts drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. dollars. We cannot accept wire transfers or ACH payments due to the large bank fees imposed.


We will charge you the shipping rates quoted on this website during the checkout process. If you feel this is in error, please do not complete checkout online, but call our office and ask for help. We’ll make certain your items are shipped in the best manner.

Out-of-Stock Items

More than 99 percent of all orders ship in their entirety within 36 hours. We try very hard to keep a large supply of everything in stock. However, many titles are from small or overseas publishers. Books often go out of print and we try to anticipate demand and stock up, but this is sometimes easier said than done.

If you order over the phone, you’ll be told when you order if something is out of stock. If you order by mail, fax or over the Internet, your out-of-stock item will be backordered for you, and we will ship it as soon as it arrives.

Your order is important to us, we are real people and we care that you are satisfied with your purchase.

Our Guarantee & Returns

Your satisfaction is our main goal. We guarantee that every item sold is as described and of high quality. If you believe your purchase fell short, return it within 30 days (60 days for international customers), packed very well to ensure it arrives in resalable condition. Indicate whether you would like an exchange, a refund (to your credit card or by check), or to put the amount on your Acres U.S.A. account for future purchases.

Books: Disappointing books must be received back in resalable condition (no scuffs, cracked spine, etc.), please wrap them well. Books that you received damaged can be replaced. Please call our office for instructions about damaged items.

Audio/Video Discs & Tapes: Sorry, there are no returns allowed for audio or video products. Defective items will be replaced.

FOR ALL RETURNS: Please include your invoice number and a note indicating the reason for the return.

Subscriptions: If you are unhappy for any reason, we will issue a refund for all issues not received.

Gift Orders & Gift Cards

We can send subscriptions, books, tapes, shirts, DVDs and CDs to your friends or family and include a card stating that it is a gift from you. Also, we can send gift cards in any denomination accompanied by our print catalog. Online digital gift cards are also available. Sorry, we can’t gift wrap.

Taxes, Duties & Customs Charges

Customs charges, duties and brokerage charges are the responsibility of the recipient. We will mark every international package with the retail price and label it as educational materials. If you have other instructions, such as your own brokerage account, etc., please indicate this with your order.

Library Orders

We will extend credit to U.S. public and institutional libraries upon receipt of a valid written purchase order. We offer free shipping to libraries within the United States that prepay their order. Libraries outside the U.S. will be charged actual shipping charges and must be prepaid. We can sell anything in our store to libraries; items published by Acres U.S.A. are available from major trade wholesalers.

Bookstores & Book Resellers

Bona fide bookstores and book resellers can write or call to request our trade list of Acres U.S.A.-published titles, discount schedule, credit terms and shipping options.

Customer Privacy

We value your privacy. If we ask for your phone number or email address it is only to have it in case we need to follow-up with a question about your order. Also if you don’t wish to receive any mailings from us, simply let us know and we’ll delete you from our customer list. We occasionally share our mailing list with select, like-minded companies that offer services we think you would want to hear about. If you would like to opt out of this, let us know and we’ll not share your mailing address.



Spend $75 or more and we’ll ship your order via Economy Mail free of charge (U.S. Only). Every order goes out in sustainable or reused packing materials.
