The GAPS Diet was developed by pioneering British physician Natasha Campbell-McBride. Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) refers to disorders including ADD/ADHD, autism, addictions, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, stemming from or exacerbated by leaky gut and dysbiosis. An evolution of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, GAPS will also appeal to followers of the Paleo Diet, who are still struggling for optimum health. Karen Lyke's passion for health and wellness abounds. She earned her Doctor of Science in Holistic Nutrition degree from Hawthorn University cum Laude, holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, is a board Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) and Diplomate in Advanced Nutritional Laboratory Assessment (DANLA) through the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board, also a graduate of ASHA, a school for massage therapy. Karen is a highly respected and well-liked member of Hawthorn's faculty and is enthusiastic about educating students in the concepts of holistic nutrition as well the principles of traditional dietary practices.
